On today’s edition of StudioTulsa, host Rich Fisher talks with John Fregonese, principal of Fregonese Associates, a renowned urban and regional planning firm based in Portland, Oregon. Fregonese and his outfit have been working closely with the City of Tulsa in an ongoing process to develop a new Comprehensive Plan. The name for this process is PLANiTULSA.

PLANiTULSA offers the citizens of Tulsa a once-in-a-generation opportunity to shape the next thirty years of our city’s growth. This city-wide procedure, as Fregonese explains, will be inclusive and reflective of the wishes and requirements of Tulsans from throughout our community.

Fregonese also discusses two upcoming (and very important) PLANiTULSA workshops: a pair of preliminary “brainstorming” sessions at which all Tulsans will be encouraged to share their ideas and concerns about the development of this city. These meetings will happen on September 22nd and 23rd. (For more information about these workshops, visit http://www.planitulsa.org/)
